Shredded romaine lettuce has been recalled in several states due to an E. Coli outbreak. While we do not shop at any of the stores mentioned, E. Coli is often associated with lettuce and alfalfa sprouts products.
The best cleaning technique to minimize E. Coli poisoning in lettuce is to rinse each leaf separately.
