Guest Opinion: Rebuttal of MSNBC's "Evils of Pacifism"
By David Luke

Eloquence leaves me when I read articles like the piece by Michael Kelly singled out here on VHJ yesterday. He and those like him have been the saber-rattlers and drum beaters since time immortal. My verbiage and thoughts become quite base when I read the thoughtless and trite dogma that he vomits from his fingertips.
Those who wish not to rush out and kill senselessly are
real humanitarians. Those who propose caution are not cowards. As the Irish song
goes..."an eye for an eye until all the world is blind." This cannot be
allowed to be humanity's trademark.
Perpetrators of horror are guilty of these horrors -- they should be punished --
and punished totally. Innocents, however, do not need to die to satisfy
those, who like Kelly, are ready to find any target to satiate their lusts.
Care, caution, and realization of the tremendous action/reaction potentials that
are involved appear to be better understood by those other than Michael Kelly
and his colleagues.
There is no room for the mockeries of the ignorant to be foisted upon those who seek a reduction of senseless death. Instantaneous destruction of millions of human beings is not as simple an issue as Kelly would have us believe. THIS IS SERIOUS BUSINESS!
Kelly is finding fault probably (now I shall make haphazard remarks from selfish opinions) with the pacifists because he or his handlers feel that the only way to get America to "Rise to the Occasion" is to beat them into a frenzy so that the wishes of power-drunk geoplutocrats can be pushed upon masses while the "group hysteria" supports all the possible (probable) hidden agendas that will be executed under the name of retribution.
Our government is the best in the world. Our nation is the best in the world. There is however, a group inside of our government that is not "of the people, and by the people". It is this group that would have us commit atrocities against innocents without thought -- those that preach like Michael Kelly.
Care must always be taken before one's anger causes a situation or reaction that is irreversible. Remember, it is the voices of those who care that must be heard to prevent these irreversible actions, not those of the ilk of Michael Kelly and Company.

Look What Words Allow Us To Do
Recreate the old trap that attorneys use -- "HAVE YOU STOPPED BEATING YOUR WIFE
YET?" A "yes" answer indicates you used to but don't now. A "no"
answer indicates that you still beat her.
Take a look at Michael Kelly's piece and its referral to George Bush's assertion. Is this not that same type of corrupt and hidden meaning wordage?
As President Bush said of nations: a war has been declared; you are either on one side or another. You are either for doing what is necessary to capture or kill those who control and fund and harbor the terrorists, or you are for not doing this. If you are for not doing this, you are for allowing the terrorists to continue their attacks on America. You are saying, in fact: "I believe that it is better to allow more Americans — perhaps a great many more — to be murdered than to capture or kill the murderers."
That is the pacifists’ position, and it is evil.
The above is a direct copy, the below has numbered inserts followed by comments:
As President Bush said of nations: (1.) a war has been declared; you are either on one side or another. (2.)You are either for doing what is necessary to capture or kill those who control and fund and harbor the terrorists, or you are for not doing this. (3.) If you are for not doing this, you are for allowing the terrorists to continue their attacks on America. (4.) You are saying, in fact: (5.) I believe that it is better to allow more Americans — perhaps a great many more —(6.) to be murdered than to capture or kill the murderers.
That is the pacifists’ position, and it is evil.
1.) The writer creates a "win/lose" or "right/wrong"
scenario.
2.) The reader is forced into one of these sides "for/against"
3.) If you refuse to chose sides, you are forced against your will into the
"against" group
4.) Words are then FORCED into your wide open mouth that state: You are a
traitor to America
5.) Worse yet, you are now for the destruction of America and death of its
citizens.
6.) Instead of catching or punishing the perpetrators.
This whole tactic of "FORCED LOGIC" appears, using Michael Kelly's own
comparison, very Orwellian and the current description of this logic sounds like
its origin is TAVISTOCKian. I'll bet Michael was a very good student.
