Known as the “The Buzzer”, this shortwave station, located in Povarovo, Russia, has been heard sine 1982. The signal is normally a buzz tone that repeats at about 25 tones per minute. Throughout the month of August shortwave radio listeners have logged several unusual sounds. Wikipedia logs the unusual activity that has been heard on this station since 1997. The August 2010 activity exceeds all previously logged activity.
