CNN published an article, “Undocumented student’s arrest called part of ‘civil rights disaster‘” today blatantly attempting to create a heroine out of an illegal immigrant. CNN had a large picture on the top of the front page linking to this article. Here’s an excerpt:

Staring at the throngs of media representatives who came out to hear and see her Friday, Jessica Colotl took another step into the fight for her future.

Standing nervously before the crowd, Colotl fought back tears when people cheered for her. The media bombarded her with questions as she tried to give voice to her struggle.

However, the comment section to the article is being bombarded by people overwhelming against illegal immigration and CNN’s bias. Here are a few of many comments.

They broke the law, they should pay the price. What other course should the
law follow. All I want to see is ridding our country of the gang bangers and thives.

Criminal illegal immigrant! DEPORT her and let all the others see what the consequence is for breaking the law!

No excuse for breaking the law! My Son’s inlaws are Mexican Citizens living in AZ. They too wanted to chase the American dream with the hopes of one day becoming citizens. The parents filled out all the forms for them and the two kids, paid the rediculous amount of money to the INS (What does my tax money go to?), and went to classes to learn the language, government, and history. They now have their permanent resident alien cards and are awaiting the majic 5-years to become naturalized citizens. It’s a slap in the face to those who do it right to grant a bypass to those who snub their noses at our laws.

Yeah, at whose expense? The American Dream is not a God-Given right! You have to earn it. And part of earning it taking the steps to follow our laws.

“There has been no crime committed.”

Giving a false address, no drivers license, no visa, not a citizen.

“The future of Arizona already exists in Cobb County and Gwinnett County [also in Georgia],”

Good!
